Dr Denim

Here's a sneak peak at the Dr Denim Chino's that will be arriving sometime next week:

(Khaki)

Chino pants gained popularity in the U.S. in the 1900s after military men returning from the Philippines after the Spanish-American War brought back their cotton military trousers.

(Wine)

These pants were originally made in China. "Chino" is the Spanish term for the Chinese, and most of the people who wear chino cloth, especially in the Philippines, are peasants (Camisa de chino); hence the fabric and these pants picked up the name.

(Navy)

The first chino's sold in the U.S. were U.S. Army military-issue pants, and in order to save fabric during WWII-era constraints, they had no pleats and were tapered at the bottom of the leg.

(Black)

The modern chino washes and wears well, with minimal care required, and comes in several different colours...

Chino's are a staple in any man's wardrobe.

Moscot

MOSCOT Eyewear and Eyecare Since 1915 has been a New York City institution for nearly 100 years.

The MOSCOT optical roots were first planted by great grandfather, patriarch, Hyman Moscot, who arrived from Eastern Europe via Ellis Island in 1899 and began selling ready-made eyeglasses from a pushcart on Orchard Street on Manhattan’s famed Lower East Side.

Coming along way since then, Moscot will be arriving at Dirtbox in the coming weeks..  Here are the styles we will be receiving...

This rounder, nerdier number has served as the calling card for generations of creative, thoughtful, free-spirited intellectuals and artistés — from Buddy Holly to Truman Capote to Johnny Depp.

The round, full-view shape, eponymously named after a family uncle, is clean, smart and fastidious. First introduced in the 1930's, the frame with the longest lineage is sleek and understated just like the powerful outsiders who made the frames famous — think Andy Warhol, John Lennon, Harry Truman and Gandhi, to name a few.

This chunky, rectangular Henry Kissinger-esque style frame is raw, agressive and in your face - just like a real New Yorker.

Named after the man who started it all, Great Grandpa Hyman. This Nebb meets Vilda number, with a few hardware embellishments thrown in, has a tad less attitude, but is definitely no wallflower.

You'll make a statement (political or otherwise!) with these classic frames that are reminiscent of Malcolm X.  This pair blends plastic and metal so there is a little something for everyone.
