First introduced in 1950, Clarks Originals are now international cult classics. The Desert Boot was inspired by the crepe-soled boots worn by British officers in World War II. Soft, supple suede, full grain leather uppers and a genuine plantation crepe outsole deliver all-day comfort. Timeless styling has remained unchanged for fifty years.

Championing authenticity, simplicity and comfort, they are the perfect combination of fashion and functionality; natural materials and handcrafted simplicity.
FUN FACT - Record sales of Desert Boot in 1971 coincided with Ken Crutchlow running 130 miles across Death Valley in California for a $1,000 wager in August 1970, wearing a bowler hat and Clarks Desert Boots, whilst carrying a rolled umbrella. He featured in over 152 American publications (with a combined circulation of 30 million) to the surprise of Clarks of England.
